Whichever committee a project sits under, it runs through the same enrollment, review, and quality process — so a project in Ubon is held to the same standard as one in Bangkok.
Exchange Programs
Two programs run through one national exchange team and a shared contract database — four- and eight-week placements, hosted and sent by Local Committees across Thailand.
Standing Committee on Research Exchange
Research placements in a host university's own laboratories — pre-clinical and clinical topics, Global Action Projects, and access to research education.
Standing Committee on Professional Exchange
Clinical rotations abroad — hospital departments, public health exchange, and global health education, with an upon-arrival training and social program at every host.
Project Enrollment
Enrollment is what makes a project officially affiliated with IFMSA-Thailand — giving it a national project code, formal review, and a path to the international level.

The Olympia coordinator reviews your proposal against the guideline and returns feedback, with a revision window before approval.
Approved projects are issued an official code (e.g. TH26001) used for tracking, certificates, and closing documentation.

The International Federation of Medical Students' Associations is one of the world's oldest and largest student-run organisations, founded in 1951 and recognised by the World Health Organization and the United Nations. It represents around 1.5 million medical students across 133 national member organisations.
IFMSA-Thailand is the national member organisation for Thailand — a federation of Local Committees at medical schools across the country, run entirely by medical students, coordinated by a national Executive Board elected each term.
